Review by SusanT:
No complaints about the apartment - spacious, convenient and fully functional. Our only concern was a phone call late one night from the apartment representative. We had a baby sleeping in the crib provided by the apartment which the representative knew about but that didn't seem to make a difference. We would stay in the apartment again.
Dear Susan,

thank you for your review. We're sorry for the late call, we'll speak to the responsible manager about that.

Review by Moscow Traveler:
The positives to this apartment are the price and location. It was cheaper than any hotel I could find within the Garden Ring. It is located on New Arbat street, close to the embassy and not too far from the Kremlin and Red Square.
There were several negatives, though. The floors, walls and pipes looked like they hadn't been washed in a long time.
The bathroom often smelled like the plumbing were backed up.
The stove stopped working briefly.
I got shocked when i pulled a plug out of the socket and shocked again on the dishwasher - I think there might have been an electrical problem.
I was able to make one free international call. After that, no dial tone.
My last night in the apartment, there was no wifi, no int'l. calls and no local calls.
As long as you know the negatives ahead of time, it still may be worth it to you to rent this apt. As I said, location and price were great.
Thank you for your review!
Yes, you have to be careful with the power sockets because the plugs may go off when you move the kitchen furniture so it's best not to move the stove and the dishwasher at all. I'm sure the Internet problem will be fixed soon and the international calls too. We can also provide a calling card if the main dial-around service isn't working for some reason.

Review by Kathy and Alan from Minnesota:
We have very fond memories of our days spent in the Garden Ring apartment. We stayed here for four nights on our first adoption trip. It is incredibly spacious and saved us hundreds of US dollars compared to staying in a hotel. The gentleman who provided us with the keys and let us in the apartment was extremely helpful. From the apartment, he showed us the metro stop and the pedestrian walkways that ran under Novy Arbat Street. He walked us to a convenience store where we could buy water, juice, etc. and even offered to walk us down the street to show us the supermarket. We found a different market that we liked better though at the corner of the Garden Ring and Old Arbat (10 minute walk). The view from the apartment was incredible. We spent hours looking out at the Novy Arbat. Rush hour in particular mesmerized us for long periods of time. The high speed internet worked great and allowed us to be in constant contact with friends and family. Furniture was very comfortable. We jokingly referred to the couch as the ?sleeping couch,? as almost every time we sat on it to read, we ended up taking a nap. The building and the area was also very safe. The building had a security code and a 24 hour concierge. Once we got to our floor, we had one key to enter the hallway and a separate key for the apartment. We would love to stay here on our next trip, but sadly it is booked the next time we will be in Moscow.
